食品伙伴網(wǎng)訊 據(jù)外媒報(bào)道,加拿大公司研發(fā)出不褐變的轉(zhuǎn)基因蘋(píng)果,預(yù)計(jì)本月將在美國(guó)中西部超市出售,然而這引發(fā)爭(zhēng)議。
據(jù)悉,這種轉(zhuǎn)基因蘋(píng)果品牌為“北極蘋(píng)果”(Arctic Apples),是加拿大奧卡諾根特色水果公司(Okanagan Specialty Fruits)研制的切開(kāi)后不褐變的蘋(píng)果。
轉(zhuǎn)基因蘋(píng)果研發(fā)公司聲稱(chēng),這種基因被改變的蘋(píng)果不會(huì)影響人體健康。然而這引發(fā)環(huán)保組織的反對(duì)。
環(huán)保組織“地球之友”(Friends of the Earth)食品安全專(zhuān)家達(dá)納.珀斯(Dana Perls)稱(chēng),這種轉(zhuǎn)基因蘋(píng)果有研究不足、缺標(biāo)簽的問(wèn)題,沒(méi)必要進(jìn)行研制,消費(fèi)者早晚會(huì)認(rèn)識(shí)到出售轉(zhuǎn)基因蘋(píng)果是錯(cuò)誤的。

After years of development, protest and regulatory red tape, the first genetically modified, non-browning apples will soon go on sale in the United States.
The fruit, sold sliced and marketed under the brand Arctic Apple , could hit a cluster of Midwestern grocery stores as early as Feb. 1. The limited release is an early test run for the controversial apple, which has been genetically modified to eliminate the browning that occurs when an apple is left out in the open air.
